I am a 21-year-old trainee journalist at News Associates in London, specialising in news and sports journalism. Before graduating the University of York with a 2:1 in English Literature I spent three years working on the UK's most award-winning student newspaper, York Vision. I was Editor of the paper in 2013, having previously held the positions of Deputy Comment Editor, Sports Editor and Deputy Editor, and I finished my time at the University as News Editor. I won the University of York Media Award for 'Best Breaking News Coverage' in both 2012 and 2013 and I was an important part of the team that won both the 2011 Guardian Student Publication of the Year award and came runner-up in the 2012 NUS 'Best Media' category. I have written over 200 articles for York Vision, including news, sport, comment, features, interviews and lifestyle pieces.

I have interned at The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian and The Press. I have been published nationally by The Times, The Guardian, The Independent and The Huffington Post and have written two back-page stories for York local paper The Press.
